Nhulunbuy and Gove Peninsula Fishing Charters
No OBJ Nhulunbuy Fishing charters can leave on any tide. The Melville Bay Boat Ramp and fishing facilities in Nhulunbuy, East Arnhem Land are great in any tides. If you are at the Boat Club this can be difficult in very low tides which is not very often.
Children are welcome on the Fishing Charters as long as they are under parental supervision at all times and are over the age of 5. The charter boat has a large canopy to protect them from the hot Nhulunbuy sun, there is stairs at the front and rear to help them get on and off the boat. The experience is for everyone young and old.
OBJ Adventures, Nhulunbuy Fishing Charters can take up to 8 anglers on the charter boat. We do have a minium of 4 needed to run a charter.
We can take a booking for a single angler, however we need 4 anglers to run a charter. A single angler will not be able to book a fishing charter online however you can contact us and we will marry you up with a fishing charter already going or If there is no charter booked we will do our best to find you a goup to join.
East Arnhem (Nhulunbuy) is in the tropics so we do encounter rain, which usually makes the water calm and the fish bite. With our charter boats having a full canopy we are able to fish and stay relatively dry. If it is too dangerous that it would make the charter unsafe, we will postpone the departure till the weather clears or cancel the trip. If this happens we will contact all anglers prior to departure time and organise refunds or rebooks on the next available charter.
No other costs envolved on our charters however if you are on the Exculsive Island Fishing Charter there is a bar on the island so you can purchase drinks/ cocktails whilst at lunch at your own expense.
There is a number accommodation types to choose from including camping, resort style, lodges and motels. Visit East Arnhem land for booking options around East Arnhem Land.
